I went to bed last night with Father's instruction to "turtle" into Him again. I am thankful... so thankful. For those who have just come across my path, turtle times are concentrated, lengthy times where I pull myself away from all of life's clamourings to listen to Him and rest. After the past ten months, it is profoundly welcomed.
Before departing, please allow me to share my joy with you! In the past few days, I have come into the knowledge that God is instructing people who bought my book to now turn around and purchase it for specific people. I believe that is both just beyond cool and surreal. It richly blesses me to have the awareness that He is using it to impart hope and His perspective to others. I cannot praise Him enough for this! It is my highest desire that people encounter the God I know! It would appear He has full intentions of using the book to do just that.
Lastly, I heard from the publisher that my book is to be up on Amazon before the week's end. Please lift up a praise to God with me that He already has the people lined up who are to "stumble" across it there!
Well, you may not hear from me as frequently during my "turtle time", but do know I will hold you in my heart --- and I know Papa -- I will return with fresh bread to share with you!
Much love to you today!

God's Rest
This weekend will be a time where I crawl up in Papa's arms and rest. What a week this has been! I know many of you out there could echo my words! I have been gone every night this week and the days have been absolutely packed. There is thankfully a time to work and there is a time to rest. With my work completed for the week and with school starting on Monday with my children, rest is just absolutely mandated as a priority for the weekend. God's rest --- it is a marvelous thing indeed!
Yesterday, I made a day trip to my parents' home. Their home is like a personal retreat for me, and I can't express the joy I am wrapped in when there. With the passing days, my parents become more and more endearing to me! And then as if that was not enough of a treat yesterday, last night I spent the evening with a beloved sister in the Lord. I have not seen her since the end of last year! Way too long to be apart. I believe we both would agree email just doesn't convey the connect that seeing one another face to face brings!
Well, it is time for me to grab a bit of breakfast. I began watching "Anne of Green Gables" Thursday evening, so I believe I will continue that in the quiet of the morning....
Blessings to you!

So Thankful!
I received my first feedback on the book last night via an email:
"We received the books this afternoon... I started reading it and I can hardly put it down..."
I know people will meet God in a deeper way on its pages! I just know it because that is HIS nature!
Are you interested in obtaining it? HERE IT IS!
Giving Him all the glory, praise, and honor!

He Is the Reason I Live
This has been SO on my heart in recent days. I'll be honest to say albeit I have watched and do watch the video -- more often than not God encourages me to listen to it with my eyes closed, focusing on the fact that He is my RISEN King! Yes, we should never lose focus on the price He paid -- but the story did not end with His death! Praise Him!
Don't let this just produce an emotional response..... but press your roots further into Him and grow.... soak in the reality of Him .... our risen King!

Gift Wrap and Bookmarks -- Oh Yeah!
I had fun shopping with dear daughter this afternoon! Boy did we ever cover some serious ground!
I probably shouldn't spoil the surprise, but I can't help myself. I really felt led to get gift wrap and personal bookmarks made up for those who ordered my beloved book. They are personalized touches from me to YOU!
I can't wait for Tuesday/Wednesday to put my "baby" in your hands!
If you want a copy of my "baby," please click here! I will have it ready for pick up or shipping by Tuesday!
If you want it signed, please make a note in the "comments" section during check-out! Or if you have already ordered it, but didn't already make a note about wanting it signed, go here and jot me a note! I'll make sure it is signed for you!
Love and hugs to you!

Past, Present, and Future Happenings
Good morning to YOU!
I am thankful to the tip of my toes that yesterday is gone. Yesterday was a day to persevere! I had to completely reinstall my laptop, so as I said on Facebook -- I lived in a technology tunnel of torture. (How's that for an alliteration?)
But praise be, because I persevered... my laptop is back to its "out of the box" newness in function .... and because I took action before it utterly crashed, I did not lose any data! Praises, praises, praises!
Today is a new day! I woke up with God speaking a phrase from my book to me. I find it so endearing when He uses it to minister to me. I won't spoil it by telling you what the phrase was.... not yet anyway! I'll wait a bit until you have had the opportunity to read it. I have the hope that you will write me and share what God spoke to you through it! May "Beyond the Greenhouse" be a blessing to you....soon!
This evening I am speaking in Raleigh, NC. It is not too late to join us! Contact us through the website for more information. There is not a charge of admission as I operate from the core of my being with Matthew 10:8: "freely it has been given to you, freely give." Amen! So, if you are in the area... contact us and then come on and enjoy the fellowship and learning!
Speaking of learning, I encourage you to bounce over to the ministry's website and read the "Passage to Ponder." Then, may you follow the suggestion at the bottom. What is restraining your hearing of the Word, and subsequent obedience to it, today? Is it as it was in the day of old: "restrained in your own affections"?
Well, off to run! Much love to you --- may you walk in the blessing of "God in you" today if you know Jesus Christ as Savior! HE is with you by His Spirit! Give Him praise!

To My Beautiful Restful Sunday : "Hello, My Friend!"
Yesterday, I went out with my beloved daughter to do a bit of shopping -- the kind of fun, non-"to-do" kind of shopping. I happened upon this beautiful mug. It is sort of a pre-celebration of the coming Fall season, which is by far my most favorite season!
So I fixed up a delightful cup of joe, propped up my feet, and pulled out my laptop just moments ago. After a wonderful early morning service at church, this space of time is to be a haven for rest!
I pray you too will be sure to allow your being a time of rest today!
Blessings to you!

Humbled, Thankful, Wowed.... Again!
Papa is SO amazing!
I woke up this morning wondering how I was going to walk out a tall "technical" problem I was having with the website this week. It could have meant a complete reprogramming of the website from where I sat.
After a bit of "Papa consultation," I privately emailed a few select people I know who are software savvy. Actually -- forget the savvy part -- they are down right gifted!
A few moments later -- 20 minutes to be more precise -- I received a reply back, "Call me..." with a phone number listed. (It was interesting too that one of the other recipients of the email said the brother who replied was probably the most capable one to help.) When I called him, I could hear him diving into the issue -- just clicking away on the keyboard. "I give you call in a bit, " he said. About an hour later -- problem solved!
You just cannot imagine how elated I was! Actually, I was probably just as equally stunned, to be honest, as I was elated. The timing was just incredible as the shopping cart is due to come up on the website this week. It is simply amazing to watch the gifts of others be poured out onto their sibling's plate with generosity of spirit!
I was wondering how Papa was going to pull everything off that needed to happen. I kept repeating over and over again, "All in Your timing... all in Your timing." Such a wonderful point of release are such words when so much seems to be coming down a broken pipe. Papa used this brother in Christ to RICHLY bless me this morning as he swooped out of left field and completely and utterly smoothed out my path!
I am not sure that my brother in Christ truly realizes what he did for me this morning. You know when a person flows in their gifts there is an ease to it -- so it just seems like no big deal to them. But to the receiver of their gift, well, it is a very big deal indeed!
Five hours later I am still humbled, thankful, and wowed! When Papa is behind a thing, He makes it happen. Praise Him!
Have I mentioned just how much I am loving this backseat adventure lately? ;o)

To Move or Not to Move? That Is the Lingering Question!
Good morning!
What a week this has been for us in the Kirby household! Most notable was the delivery of my book. But the week did not end on Wednesday, now did it?
Yesterday -- the day after my book arrived (you will see the significance of this in a moment), we received a phone call of a house showing for this weekend. As my husband took a job in another city in April, our home has been on the market in our current city. Interestingly, our home has shown a whopping three times in four months. But if you will go here and read, you will discover God has been behind the "no-showings." (Praise Him!.....For surely it would have been a tall challenge to balance all I have in recent months with house showings to boot!) So, I find it note-worthy that yesterday -- the day after the total completion of the book, we receive a phone call for a showing. (If you went here and read, you discovered that the third house showing was also linked to another milestone with the book.... Anybody seeing the pattern here? ;o) )
Also, too, yesterday we heard from our realtor in the other city. We haven't heard from her in weeks either, as we had told her when our home sold, we would be in touch. So yesterday's events are on our radar as we continue to see where our "back seat" travels with Papa take us. Eventually it will be ultimately revealed if He intends to move us, or if we stay put.
"Reason" would say, "We must move." But I know God, and I know He isn't interested in nor swayed by reason. At this point, only He, as our Driver, knows if we will move or not! We, as a family, are very familiar with walking the walk of the unknown. (FYI, it is called a walk of faith! ;o) ) Such a walk lends itself to high levels of adventure if embraced. One thing is for sure --- it is never boring in the Kirby household!
Cruising on down the road in the backseat of Papa's car.....
Hope you stay tuned in to see how this turns out! ;o)
Here's to fabulous Friday!
